Canford Healthcare was formed in 2007 by Directors Brian Cooney and Barry Lambert. Their vision then was to build a group of homes that provide a very high-quality standard of care, rather than care on a budget. It was also important for both that the Company should embrace an ethos of high ethical standards, transparency and an ultra-caring approach to both residents and staff. This formula has proved so successful that Canford Healthcare now owns 11 homes across Kent, Essex, East Sussex and Middlesex, and enjoys a thriving partnership with US-based Ventas REIT. It was with Ventas’ backing, in 2015, that Canford significantly grew its market share by acquiring Churchgate Healthcare Ltd, and its five new-build, 351-bed care facilities in Essex and Kent, to complement its existing homes. After 12 years of formidable growth, Canford Healthcare’s vision is now to become one of the UK’s premier providers of care and support services.
