Cyber Centre of Excellence
The Cyber Centre of Excellence (CCoE) is an initiative aimed at all local authorities and UK public bodies to help them stay abreast of cyber threats and give them access to military-grade protection at high street prices. It will be able to assist with the full remit of what an organisation needs to do and know to stay as cyber secure as possible. Sitting behind the CCoE is an Advisory Forum of some of the UK’s leading experts in cyber security. This group will keep the CCoE up to date with threats and abreast of new innovations.
Protecting Care Providers From Cyber Attack White Paper
The Care England and Cyber Centre of Excellence (CCoE) White Paper marks the culmination of a year-long research project undertaken with the Cyber Centre of Excellence (CCoE), an organisation led by experienced cyber security experts and overseen by an Advisory Board of some of the UK’s leading cyber security professionals. Care England and the CCoE’s joint aim was first to understand the cyber threats facing the care industry and, secondly, to road-test a package of affordable and effective cyber security solutions with a sub-section of Care England members to develop an off-the shelf all-round cyber security offering designed by the sector for the sector to give time pressured care provider leaders reassurance that they are adequately protected against the ever-growing cyber threat.

Care Protect
The Care Protect package has been developed by Care England and the CCoE through its research and testing within the sector. This specifically tailored package is made up of five elements to help providers build their defence in depth. This includes a vulnerability scan to identify cyber vulnerabilities and take steps to fix them, and a session with a qualified cyber expert which looks at risks and solutions in depth at a company level. Also included are licences for a sophisticated product developed in the US defence environment which can be installed to stop threats in their tracks. A cyber NCSC assured board course is offered for senior management and all employees can access a range of online training modules to build essential knowledge. The multi-layered approach provided by Care Protect gives the highest level of protection needed as cyber threats continue to grow.
