Regular resistance training can support lifelong health, reduce chronic disease risk, combat age-related muscle mass and strength loss, enhance mood and quality of life, and improve balance and movement confidence. And it is never too late to start.

In this webinar, Bridgitte Swales, Researcher and Strength and Conditioning coach at the University of Stirling, examined the broader health impact of resistance training for frail older adults, practical issues, and solutions, and what this means for those committed to healthy ageing in residential care.
