Care England DSIG Webinar: Caldicott Guardian Programme in Social Care

On 9 September 2023, Care England hosted a Digital Special Interest Group (DSIG) meeting on the role of  a Caldicott Guardian within an adult social care setting.

Following the change in guidance by the National Data Guardian, that social care organisations should look to have a guardian in place by 30 June 2023, we have been approached by several members on the topic and felt it was suitable to host a session on the subject.

Dr George Fernie, Vice Chair of UK Caldicott Guardian Council presented at the session. The webinar and subsequent discussion looked at how care providers can implement the National Data Guardian guidance.
