Care England is proud to have partnered with Nightingale Hammerson, and A1 Risk Solutions to highlight an innovative practice of moving and handling.
In October 2024, the three organisations published Are two people always required for moving and handling? outlining how implementing Single-Handed Care could benefit your service, staff, and resident’s wellbeing.
The benefits of single-handed care for residents include improved dignity, enhanced well-being, and social connection and for providers, increased capacity and admissions as well as greater efficiency.
The report further outlines how providers can implement the technique in their service.
