      Providers were contacted directly by West Sussex County Council and informed of all rate adjustments and published decisions.
       
    4. How were, or are Providers consulted on this decision (free text)?
      This is covered in the Decision Report, Section 4:
      ‘The Council has discussed fee increases as part of the West Sussex Social Care Provider Forum with a range of representatives from across the care sector. Commissioners have also discussed fee increases with West Sussex Partners in Care. In addition, providers have individually contacted commissioning officers and the feedback from all these mechanisms have been considered in the development of the approach.’

      All percentage uplift details in 2020/21 can be found in the published AH01 Decision Report, Section 2. This is linked in the answer to question 1.

      ‘Appendix 1 AH12 20/21 Care Home Rates’, which supplements the 2021/22 Decision Report (linked in the response to question 2a) details uplifts that are different to indicative rates:

‘Substance Misuse, Learning Disability, Mental Health, Physical Disability and where need exceeds indicative rates are agreed on an individual basis. All existing placements of these types will be increased by 1.75%, except for those which have been arranged between 1st January 2021 and 31st March 2021 and unless contractual terms and conditions require otherwise.’
