Dear Louis,

I am writing in response to your Freedom of Information Request (FOI 10318 ) dated 23rd February 2021.

Please find the Council’s response to your request relating to Nursing fees below.  The following is a link to the Council’s Website for 2020-21 fees https://search3.openobjects.com/mediamanager/trafford/fsd/files/fa_factsheet_2021.pdf .

Freedom of Information (FOI) Request:

Please see below for FOI questions in relation to nursing and care homes for people over 65.

1.      What is your LA’s 2020/21 Nursing Fee Base Rate be? (excluding FNC)

2.      What is your LA’s 2020/21 Nursing Dementia Fee Base Rate? (excluding FNC)

3.      What is your LA’s 2020/21 Residential Fee Base Rate?

4.      What is your LA’s 2020/21 Residential Dementia Fee Base Rate?

For the financial year 20/21, the Council operated a new single rate system for residential and nursing placements.  This was £560.00 for new residential placements and £626.00 for new nursing placements.  These rates do not distinguish between dementia/ non dementia clients.

5.      Were your LA’s 2020/21 fee rates based upon an assumed occupancy level? If so, what rate?

The Fee Rates are not based on occupancy levels.

I hope this is helpful however if you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the right to ask for an internal review. Internal review requests should be submitted within two months of the date of receipt of the response to your original letter and should be addressed to: Information Governance Manager, Trafford Council, Town Hall, Talbot Road Stretford M33 0TH or via email to data.protection@trafford.gov.uk

Please remember to quote the reference number above in any future communications.
