The team at The Maples Care Home is proud to announce that it has raised 2 thousand pounds for Alzheimer’s research through its participation in the Trek26 event.

The Trek26 event, organized by the Alzheimer’s Society, is a challenging 26-mile hike aimed at raising funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s disease. The Maples assembled a team of dedicated team members, to take part in the Trek26 event. The team trained rigorously for several weeks leading up to the event, ensuring they were physically prepared for the demanding walk.

Through their dedication and fundraising efforts, The Maples team managed to raise two thousand pounds, which will go towards funding vital research, support services, and care for those affected by Alzheimer’s. The funds raised will contribute to improving the lives of individuals living with Alzheimer’s and their families.

The Trek26 event not only provided an opportunity for people to contribute to a worthy cause but also allowed the team, residents, and their families to come together as a community, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie.
